Wedding FAQs
Not sure how many protea to order? We put together a guide to how many protea you'll need for your wedding. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us and we'll respond within 24 hours.
Choose a delivery date 3–4 days before your wedding. Protea ship essentially open. Unlike roses, they don't need days to bloom, but they do need time to rehydrate after travel, and the buffer protects you if a shipment runs late. We recommend ordering at least a month out so we don't sell out of your preferred style of Protea.
We harvest to order, so the exact mix depends on what's at peak that week. Your Pink box may include Queen, Pink Mink, Pink Ice or Lady Di protea. Every stem will be in the pink family (unless you order pink and white). We never substitute outside your chosen color. If you're matching a specific palette, email us before ordering and we'll tell you what's blooming around your date.
Protea are VERY hardy, so damage is surprisingly rare. However if something happens during shipping, contact us right away with your order number and photos and we'll make it right. Because this is a wedding, we'd rather hear from you the moment the box opens than after the day has passed.
Protea last 2-3 weeks in a vase, so flowers arriving Tuesday look right on Saturday and still look right on your return from the honeymoon. Link to the vase-life post. Keep your flowers in a cool, dark place and change the water weekly! No hot rooms or direct sun please.
